The recent news shocked everybody. But nobody was immune from the precarious conditions of the country. Faithful are not able to contribute to the works of the church. If they do, the collections are not enough to pay the debt and interests on huge loans.

Crystal Cathedral is one of the first megachurches to file for bankruptcy in this economy, but it is not the only one that is suffering due to lack of funds.

The church's budget woes have forced it to downsize its staff, cancel programming in certain markets, and even send home choir and orchestra members.

A mega church pastor is in the spotlight these days. Some of the male participants in his youth academy accused him of coercing them into sex with expensive gifts and trips on his private jet to nice resorts. Pastor Long said he is not a perfect man, but that he wants to fight these charges in court. He wants justice.

According to ABCnews, CBS, NBC, CNN and various other networks, the pastor has sent very personal pictures to these young men. He poses in sports, sexy, and tight t-shirts in bathrooms and sends these pictures to the men. Many critics feel that a pastor should not do that. God knows what else he sent and remains to be uncovered in court!

Being a minister in the age of quick technology, social networks, smartphones requires a lot of self-control. Apparently, Pastor Long was not exercising any self-restraint when he released these pictures. In addition, he is married to a beautiful woman. How come his wife did not notice anything? How come she does not come to support her man?

It has been reported that other church leaders closed their eyes on the fact that these types of activities are occurring in church.
