Tribute to Dorothy I. Height, Matriarch of the American Civil Rights Movement, a True Hat-wearing Sister With Great Fashion Flair

A true giant, a true shero is gone. Dorothy I. Height has served us well. Her legacy will be around for a long time. She fought the good fight for men and women. She created bridges among the various ethnic groups. She had friends among the powerful and the destitute. She was always around when the huge decision had to be taken. Dr. Height wore many hats throughout the years. She was fond of great hat architecture. She wore them too.

So long, Dorothy! We will see you in Heaven some day!
